SharpFind, the ‘paper filing solution' frees your office environment from the problems and space of storing paper documents by providing a flexible electronic document archiving system.
Documents can be scanned in from any networked Sharp digital printer/copier with the scanner option installed and then later recovered quickly and efficiently via a simple ‘user friendly' interface.

Original paper documents can then be sent to secure archives providing added security for important documents. Documents held on the SharpFind server can be searched, accurately reproduced or distributed to any individual that has access rights to that document.

SharpFind also provides a means of distributing electronically stored documents via CD-ROM, offering a portable solution where rapid access can be made to archived documents where dial-up or internet access is not possible or permitted. The ‘fuzzy logic' advanced search feature allows users to find words on documents even if they are incorrectly spelt or the quality of the document is poor, providing a powerful, foolproof way to retrieve documents.

Other search techniques include the use of keywords, Boolean operators, proximity and progressive searches. The SharpFind server solution is available in three different versions to cater for different operating environments.

SharpFind Workgroup Server The workgroup version is designed for a small office environment that requires centralised document management. Documents are input and recovered from the SharpFind server.

SharpFind Departmental Server The departmental version allows users with network access to search and view stored documents from any location on the network including dialup, or using a web browser. Document input and editing is controlled on the central SharpFind server.

SharpFind Enterprise Server The Enterprise SharpFind server is a fully network based solution. All functions of the system can be accessed using web technology including the management of the archive. From every desktop on your network, including dialup, you are able to search, find, organise and reproduce any document.
